On May 30th, the 2024 Vietnam-Korea ICT Cooperation Forum officially commenced in Ho Chi Minh City. This event was organized by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) in collaboration with the Korea National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and the Korean Software Industry Association (KOSA).
This year’s forum, themed “Strengthening Korea-Vietnam Partnership for Innovation and Sustainable Digital Growth,” is a key event in the series of Vietnam-Korea ICT business exchange activities. It is anticipated to be a crucial stepping stone for expanding cooperation in Digital Transformation between Vietnam and Korea, opening opportunities for continued collaboration and sustainable growth.
The event attracted leaders from Ministries, Departments, and Sectors in the field of Information and Communications from both countries, as well as dozens of leading businesses in information technology.
During the seminar, Mr. Dang Van Tu, CTO of CMC Global Company (the International Business Division of CMC Corporation), presented on the current state of global digital transformation. He introduced CMC’s key products in IT and shared digital transformation solutions for businesses. Additionally, Mr. Dang Van Tu highlighted successful CMC models, providing delegates with a detailed view of these solutions.
At the forum, Mr. Dang Van Tu introduced several key solutions, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence technologies like CIVAMS Face for facial recognition, optical character recognition (OCR), and robotic process automation (RPA). These solutions are designed to help businesses advance their digital transformation efforts.
In the afternoon, the “Korea-Vietnam ICT Council” was launched. This organization aims to establish a collaborative system to connect digital businesses, share expertise, and promote innovation initiatives in the IT field between Vietnamese and Korean companies.
Notably, CMC Global is honored to be among the first 30 Vietnamese businesses granted special permission to participate in this council without undergoing the usual screening process.
Recently, Gartner recognized CMC as one of the top 13 leading public cloud management and service providers in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, the company successfully upgraded its CMMI certification to level 5, the highest maturity level in the quality management model for software businesses.
